Quick operating process

1Create the event in Humanitix, TryBooking or Eventbrite.

2Set ticket types, capacity, refund rules and payment collection inside that platform.

3Copy the public ticketing link into the MCSA event listing.

4MCSA admin approves the listing before it appears as an official event.

We invite you to be a part of Mithila Mahotsav 2026: Mithila, Maithil, and Maithili. We are calling for your voice! Can you speak in Maithili? We want to hear from you. We are seeking short, heartfelt speeches in Maithili from members of our community—adults and children alike—to showcase the vibrancy of our language as it becomes a part of the multicultural fabric of Australia. Vat Savitri Celebration

In a landmark cultural gathering, the Mithila Cultural Society Australia, celebrated the sacred festival of Vat Savitri in Sydney for the very first time. The event brought together families, women, and Maithil community members from Bihar & Nepal to honor the age-old tradition that symbolizes devotion, marital harmony, and cultural heritage. The symbolic idol of Var & Kaniya was also for display for the generation to take inspiration. Dressed in traditional attire, women performed rituals around the banyan tree, offered prayers for the well-being and longevity of their husbands, and sang traditional Maithili folk songs, recreating the vibrant spirit of Mithila in Australia. The celebration also served as a platform for younger generations to connect with their roots and experience the richness of Maithil traditions away from home. Community organizers from the organization along with other participants described the event as an emotional and proud moment for the growing Maithil diaspora in Sydney, marking a significant step toward preserving and promoting Mithila cultural identity abroad. The gathering concluded with cultural interactions, traditional food, and a shared commitment to continue celebrating Mithila festivals together in the years ahead.
